We want to thank the Chicago Cubs who will be a sponsor for our 2021 season. Their generous donation is allowing us to provide uniform shirts, medals, and pins for our players. It will also allow us to cover many of our administrative costs for this season. While we do charge a small fee, it is part of our mission that we never turn away any family that wants to play.
The Chicago Cubs is providing this donation as part of their Diamond Project. The goal of the Diamond Project is to expand opportunities for children to play baseball and softball, create or preserve green space in under-resourced neighborhoods and foster a love for the game. Through the Diamond Project, Cubs Charities provides funds and equipment to nonprofit, neighborhood-based organizations that support baseball and softball leagues and capital improvement projects that improve the quality, safety and accessibility of local baseball fields or indoor training facilities.
The Chicago Challenger League is a 501(c)3, and we depend on the generosity of great organizations like the Chicago Cubs. It is our mission to provide a great baseball opportunity for all disabled kids in our area, and donations like this one allow us to do that.
Do you know of a local business that may be willing to sponsor our Challenger League? Reach out to us at coach@chichallengers.org!
